American Legion Post 99, nestled in Foley, Alabama, offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with delicious dining experiences. Patrons rave about their Saturday Surf and Turf dinners, featuring succulent ribeye steaks complemented by shrimp or catfish, all for a reasonable $20. Gene Moore aptly noted the "good steaks and sides," affirming the value and quality of the meals.
Victoria Brueggeman's experience showcases the vibrant community spirit; she exclaimed that the hamburgers were "THE BEST burgers" she's had, accompanied by friendly ambiance and lively acoustic country music from the Doc Johnson band. It's clear that this legion is more than just a restaurant—it's a place where friendships blossom over hearty meals.
Jeff Gardner highlighted the spacious layout, featuring a lounge and entertainment area that adds to the social experience, though he noted the indoor smoking policy as a potential drawback. Despite that, the camaraderie among members and guests seems to shine through consistently, as patrons feel welcomed and at home. Ms. Kim’s experience with corned beef and cabbage further attests to the varied menu offerings that cater to different tastes.
In summary, American Legion Post 99 not only serves comforting dishes but also fosters a sense of community, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and travelers.

Great time at Saturday night Surf and Turf dinner. Ribeye steaks with shrimp or catfish, roasted potatoes, salad and dessert for 20.

We went to the Legion on a night with friends. The evening meal was hamburgers, cheeseburgers (5 each) and fries (3). Honestly, it was THE BEST burgers I've had in a long time. I swear there's magic cooked in it! We stayed for the acoustic country music of the Doc Johnson band. (They reminded me of how Nashville used to be.) People were very friendly and welcoming. We liked it so much we went back 2 more nights for food, drinks, dancing and fun! We are dancing fools from Wisconsin. Thanks fir making our trip so much fun!!

As a Legionnaire, it is a spacious, well-lit, and comfortable place to socialize and meet/chat with friends and colleagues. They have very nice facilities, including a full lounge/bar and an entertainment room/area which are separated from the meeting areas. There is ample off-street parking around their building. The only drawback, for me, is that smoking is permitted inside.

Went to listen to some friends play with their band. Was a friendly welcoming place with pretty good corned beef and cabbage for St Patty’s day (which is when we went)
